MEET OUR TEAM

Dr. Gormley was born and raised in Carthage, New York. He graduated from Carthage Central High School in 1983. He went on to attend St. Lawrence University where he graduated with a B.S. Degree in Chemistry. He then continued his education and obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1991.

After graduation, Dr. Gormley relocated to Utica N.Y. to complete a one-year residency at Faxton-St. Luke’s Dental Center in New Hartford. He started his dental career in Oneida before becoming a partner with Dr. Joseph Hawellca in Sherrill N.Y. in 1994.

He currently lives locally in Oneida, NY with his wife Kimberly and their two daughters Lillian and Mackenzie. Dr. Gormley loves spending time with family, outdoor sports, and traveling.

Dr. Clark grew up in many places, including Utah, Idaho, Oregon, and Georgia. He received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University, and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2010.

After graduating, Dr. Clark went on to become a dental director in dental clinics in Indiana, West Virginia, and Syracuse. He also serves as a Major in the United States Air Force Reserves at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station. He is excited to join the team at Sherrill Dental Arts!

He currently lives in Manlius, NY with his wife, Sarah and their five children, three dogs, and seven chickens.

Karen, our Office Manager, is one of the first people you'll meet at Sherrill Dental Arts. With over twenty years of working in the dental field, her experience keeps the clinic running smoothly. Karen loves her work being a part of a great dental team, and she enjoys getting to know our patients.

In her free time, Karen likes to travel, bake, sew, and read.

Arianna is the newest member of our team. She went to Charis Bible College in Colorado and received her associates degree. She likes helping the office run smoothly and greeting people as the come and go. Also, she loves working with people who make working fun.

Arianna likes being out in nature and taking walks, spending time with friends and family, cooking and trying out new recipes, serving at her church and being part of a church family, and traveling to places she's never been before.

HYGIENE

Jean joined our team in June of 2025 and she has over 26 years of experience in the dental field. As a registered dental hygienist, she enjoys getting to know her diverse group of patients and providing them with education about keeping their smiles healthy for life. Jean studied dental hygiene at Onondaga Community College. Committed to lifelong learning, Jean is a New York State Registered Dental Hygienist. She maintains certification in local infiltration anesthesia, nitrous oxide analgesia, CPR and defibrillator resuscitation for patients of all ages, first aid, OSHA, and infection control. She also has advanced training in a number of areas, including ultrasonic scaling, laser periodontal therapy, Perio Protect, Zoom and Boost teeth whitening, Invisalign, neuromuscular concepts through the prestigious LVI program, and Dr. Rondeau orthodontic certification.

Jean grew up in Syracuse and she currently calls Canastota home. She is married with a daughter and son. When she has free time, she enjoys archery, motocross, ocean vacations, and listening to live music. Jean especially enjoys spending time having fun with family, friends, and good food!

Carly is a 1996 VVS graduate. She studied dental hygiene at Onondaga Community College and was a 2002 OCC Dental Hygiene Graduate. With over 20 years of experience in the field, she is a valued member of the Sherrill Dental Arts team.

Carly has lived in Sherrill 45 years. She has been married to her husband for 23 years. Carly has two daughters in nursing school.

Debbie has been a Dental Hygienist for 28 years, and has been with Sherrill Dental Arts for four years, and counting! Debbie loves her job because she's so grateful to work with such great and talented people! She says, "We work as a team and have a lot of laughs along the way!"

Debbie cherishes anytime spent with her family and friends that she considers family. She and her family love boating, hiking, snowmobiling and is currently working on improving her new “empty nest” pickle ball hobby with Carly.

Marianne graduated from Onondaga Community College in Dental Hygiene in 2004. She has over 20 year of experience and has been at Sherrill Dental Arts for 18 years. She is a valued member of the Sherrill Dental Arts Team.

In her free time, Marianne likes to garden, knit, and bake for her family.

ASSISTANTS

Kayla has been FL-EFDA certified for 10+ years. She is experienced in oral surgery, periodontics, sedation, cosmetic, orthodontics, pediatric and general dentistry. Kayla loves dentistry because she gets to help restore function and quality of life to our community. Fearful patients who've never been comfortable in dental offices will experience empathy, respect, dignity, patience, kindness, and individualized care here with Kayla. She considers herself a patient advocate and feels great joy in helping folks understand their conditions, needed treatments, and navigating their specific needs with our caring dental providers. Kayla is so grateful for the opportunity to join and assist the Sherrill Dental Arts team.

Kayla shares three amazing children with her best friend who she was lucky enough to marry. She shares a small hobby farm with her in-laws at their multigenerational home in Pompey. They enjoy tent camping, fishing, swimming, exploring, food, learning, agro-farming, and all forms of art!

Stacia has been a dental assistant with Dr. Gormley for 18 years. Stacia loves working at Sherrill Dental Arts because of the "family" feel. She graduated from Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, and Sherrill will always feel like home to her.

Stacia enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and son at camps in the Adirondacks. She can usually be found transporting kids to sports games, basketball, softball and baseball.
